The Sabris program began in 1992. At one time we were known as an aircraft rental and flight training organization. We had 27 rental aircraft, including 10 turbine and piston twins, helicopters, and gliders, with eight staff instructors.
With the change in the rental and training market after 2002, we moved into the flight management business. The largest part of our business is in helping people add General Aviation to their transportation mix.
We generally use only Flight Instructors instead of just Commercial Pilots. Our people are not only qualified to fly the airplane, but they are also qualified to teach others how to fly the airplane. As Flight Instructors, they are much more aware of operational details because they have the instructional knowledge.
Most all of our people have Airline Transport Pilot ratings, not just Commercial Pilot ratings. Our team collectively has over 50,000 hours. All of our pilots have extensive seasoning in mountain flying, weather flying, high-altitude operations, and procedures at high-density airports.
Our people are high-time, fly regularly, are continuously active as Instructors, and are approved by insurance companies to give initial and recurrent training. Because of this, we have an exemption from most insurance companies for initial and recurrent training for our own people. There is no cost to a client for our own periodic training.
We have four staff pilots and that gives us depth. One call to us gets a pilot. It is not necessary to keep a list of other pilots to call in case the primary pilot cannot make the trip. A delay in an out-of-town trip does not create a scheduling problem for other clients.
Our people are treated as employees and work for us exclusively. We pay Workman's Compensation premiums for them and carry a liability insurance policy for their activities. Freelance pilots do not do either of these things.
Our Instructors have experience in over 200 different makes and models of aircraft. We do almost all airplane and gliders from Private through Airline Transport and Flight Instructors. We have the instructional capability in most of the modern glass panel avionics and GPS Systems. Our team has a combined instructional experience in excess of 15,000 hours.
We have insurance company-approved initial and recurrent training programs for almost all the popular piston twin and single-engine airplanes. We travel all over the U.S. to provide that training. We can go to where the client is located. He does not need to come to our location. We can also accompany him on trips and can provide the extended instructor mentorship training that may be required by an insurance company.

We are the best single source for all of the business issues involving the purchase and operation of an airplane. We have extensive knowledge of the capability and value of available airplanes, insurance, taxes, ownership options, maintenance, and operational considerations. We do professional appraisals for banks, attorneys, accountants, partnerships, and purchase or sale evaluations. We have the skill to help a client determine how to add General Aviation to his transportation mix and pick the correct airplane. We can also provide transition training or pilot services for the aircraft.
One member of our staff is part of the FAA Safety Program and is an Aviation Safety Counselor. In that capacity he works with the FAA remedial training program, counsels pilots on FAA pilot and ownership issues, and available as a speaker.
One member of our staff is the AOPA Aviation Support Network (ASN) designated representative for one of the airports in this area. In that capacity, he works with people involved with the airport in support of operations.
We understand aircraft insurance. We directly place or are responsible for directing placement the of over $550,000 in aircraft insurance each year. We know how to match a make and model selection to allow a pilot to be insurable. We know how to construct training and mentorship programs so as to allow an underwriter to feel comfortable in covering a skill-challenged pilot. We provide consulting services to insurance brokers and sales brokers to allow a pilot to be insurable.
